These buttery, herb-infused shrimp toasts are undoubtedly a dish worth making for friends and family.

SERVES 8
Ingredients
1 (10-inch) baguette, cut into 16-18 thin slices
2 tablespoon salted butter, melted
1 small red onion, finely chopped
3 tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill fronds, plus more for serving
8 to 10 jumbo shrimp, shelled, deveined, and finely chopped
2 tablespoon mayonnaise
1/4 teaspoon table salt
pinch freshly ground black pepper
pinch chile flakes
3 tablespoon grated mild yellow cheddar
Instructions
Preheat the broiler to high (480°F/250°C) with the rack positioned in the upper third. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and arrange the bread slices on it. Toast for around one minute, until they begin to turn golden. Invert, then toast the opposite side until it attains a golden hue. After toasting, apply butter to all the slices.
In a medium bowl, amalgamate the other ingredients and stir thoroughly. Distribute the mixture evenly across the buttered toasts and apply pressure to compress it slightly. Return the sheet pan to the hot grill for 3 to 5 minutes, until the shrimp are pink and well cooked. Garnish the toasts with sprigs of dill and serve.
