Ferrero Expands Nutella Lineup With Peanut Flavor Launch

The new release blends the brand’s core hazelnut-cocoa formula with roasted peanuts, marking a response to sustained consumer demand.

Nutella is now providing enthusiasts with the combo they have desired for decades. Following months of conjecture and viral promotions, Ferrero North America has declared the nationwide launch of Nutella Peanut. The new product is the classic brand's first significant flavour innovation in over 60 years, combining the distinctive smoothness of the renowned hazelnut spread with the delectable richness of roasted peanuts.
Fans have historically combined conventional Nutella with peanut butter; however, this new spread integrates both flavours into a single container. Instead of replacing the hazelnuts, Nutella Peanut enhances the traditional recipe by incorporating roasted peanut flavour and peanut flour atop the brand's distinctive cocoa and hazelnut foundation. The outcome is a creamy, highly spreadable, plant-based product ideally suited for afternoon snacking, sandwiches, and dipping. “Honestly, when a jar of Nutella goes viral floating in space, you start to feel like anything is possible,” joked Noah Szporn, Senior Vice President of Spreads at Ferrero North America. “So naturally our next move as a brand was dropping our first new flavor innovation in over 60 years… Our fans have been asking for this for years. We heard them, and afternoon snack time will never be the same.”
The brand is extending the celebration beyond the grocery aisle by introducing a Nutella Peanut Pop-Up directly for consumers in New York City. The interactive, public event will occur in NoHo at 372 Lafayette Street for one weekend only (May 16–17), enabling fans to engage in games, get special personalised memorabilia, and receive complimentary Nutella Peanut sandwiches. Manufactured at Ferrero's recently inaugurated facility in Franklin Park, Illinois, the eagerly awaited spread is poised to become a new pantry essential. Consumers seeking to enhance their toast may now purchase 13-ounce jars of Nutella Peanut, which are being distributed to prominent merchants across the country and are also available online through Amazon.
