The relationship is inherent: the initial character of Martell’s Chinese name, Ma (马), signifies “horse,” and founder Jean Martell notably traversed the Cognac terroir on horseback beginning in 1715.

The Martell Cordon Bleu Lunar New Year Limited Edition showcases artwork by modern artist He Datian. His calligraphic technique reveals a horse within the brand's Chinese characters, embodying the house's bold essence. This renowned blend, primarily derived from Borderies cru eaux-de-vie, presents mellow aromas of orchard fruits and spices.

The L’Or de Jean Martell Zodiac Edition – Assemblage du Cheval epitomises luxury for collectors. Cellar Master Christophe Valtaud curated exceptional Grande Champagne eaux-de-vie from prior Years of the Horse to develop a character abundant in candied fruit and honey. Contained within a Baccarat crystal decanter featuring a red crystal horse's head stopper, only 500 units are produced globally.

The Martell Cordon Bleu Lunar New Year Limited Edition by He Datian is obtainable through ReserveBar and select merchants in the United States for a retail price of $266 USD. The L’Or de Jean Martell Zodiac Edition - Assemblage du Cheval will be available in select markets and on ReserveBar for a retail price of $12,500 USD.
