Releasing a new short film entitled ‘Yes Chef.’
Bukayo Saka, forward for Arsenal Football Club and the England national team, has recently launched a limited-edition sauce in cooperation with Nando’s, blending his preferred flavors with the signature PERi-PERi of the brand.
Nando’s and Saka has a longstanding history outside of football, originating from Saka's memorable side-eye performance in the Nando’s This Must Be The Place television advertisement last year.
Saka and Nando’s are advancing their partnership, as the Gunners winger has collaborated with the Nando’s culinary team to merge his passion for smoky BBQ and tomato with Nando’s unique PERi-PERi flavor. The completed sauce is sweet and spicy, with tomato, garlic, and smoky paprika. The sauce is rated Medium on the renowned PERi-ometer, establishing it as a preferred choice for Nando’s enthusiasts.
Regarding the launch of his new sauce, Bukayo Saka stated: “I adore it and eagerly anticipate everyone experiencing it.” I have frequented Nando's since childhood, so have my own PERi-PERi sauce in every establishment nationwide is quite astonishing! My family is of paramount importance to me, hence I sought to ensure their approval as well. Upon my father's declaration of his admiration, I recognized it as the definitive choice.
To commemorate the launch, Saka has entered the kitchen to collaborate with a team of chefs, including an actual Arsenal chef, to realize his culinary creation. The short video, named Yes Chef, presents a whimsical perspective on a high-pressure culinary environment.
Nando’s and Saka’s recent collaboration features London-based artist and devoted Arsenal supporter, Reuben Dangoor, who has designed the official sauce bottle, marking Nando’s inaugural partnership with an artist for its restaurant sauce bottles.
