Starbucks Japan is enhancing its limited-edition menu with a textural innovation, introducing the “Caramel Melts Frappuccino” only at its Reserve Cafe in Shinjuku. This innovative beverage diverges from conventional syrup-based flavourings by using real food elements, with espresso-soaked popcorn as its primary ingredient.

The "Caramel Melts Frappuccino" is crafted to replicate a layered dessert. The foundation consists of caramel popcorn infused with espresso, resulting in a distinctive "coffee experience" that harmonises the snack's crunch with the richness of the roast. The creation is adorned with popcorn-flavored whipped cream, a caramel sauce drizzle, and a salted pretzel, presenting a sophisticated blend of sweet and salty flavours.

The collection include the “Caramel Melts Latte” for those who favour a hot beverage. This variant employs a scented popcorn-flavored latte base, topped with the classic whipped cream, caramel sauce, cinnamon, and a salted pretzel. The establishment is offering a “Starbucks Reserve Opera Frappuccino,” a beverage inspired by opera cake, composed of almond milk, espresso, and decadent chocolate sauce.

The "Caramel Melts" series is now available exclusively at the Starbucks Reserve Cafe located on the second level of the Shinjuku Marui Main Building in Tokyo.
