In a recent development, Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, is being litigated against by the firm that manages his virtual restaurant franchise, MrBeast Burger. This month, MrBeast allegedly initiated legal action against Virtual Dining Concepts, the firm responsible for his virtual burger restaurant, alleging that it compromised quality to expedite commercial expansion. The corporation is now countersuing the YouTuber for $100 million USD.

Variety reports that Virtual Dining Concepts and Celebrity Virtual Dining (VDC) are litigating against MrBeast and his Beast Investments for breaching contractual commitments and for wilful tortious interference. The lawsuit, acquired by the publication, indicates that it is a reaction to Donaldson's legal action against VDC, aiming to annul the agreement. MrBeast claims that the burgers provided were “disgusting,” “revolting,” and “inedible,” thereby harming his reputation. VDC then countered, asserting that the allegations were "meritless" and "ill-advised."

In the nine-figure lawsuit, VDC asserts, “This case concerns a social media celebrity who believes his notoriety renders his statements inconsequential, the facts irrelevant, and that he can default on his contractual obligations without repercussions.” He is erroneous. The legal lawsuit further asserts that Donaldson neglected to fulfil the contractual commitments regarding publicity and promotion, as well as failing to provide public support for the brand. VDC retrieves previous tweets from MrBeast, who has previously stated that the agreement was "detrimental to my brand."

MrBeast Burger was initially introduced in December 2020 and has since spread to 1,700 sites worldwide by the conclusion of 2022. The corporation possesses a single physical restaurant, while the burger chain functions as a virtual brand managed by partner kitchens globally. VDC has supported several celebrity brands, including those of Mariah Carey, Mario Lopez, and DJ Pauly D.
