The initial location was opened in the vicinity of St Paul’s, succeeded by a second branch in close proximity, and we have already received information that a third will shortly be inaugurated on Tottenham Court Road.

The narrative of this family-operated enterprise commenced in 2010, with the establishment of Cotham Sandwich Co. on Cotham Road South. Two years later, this evolved into Sandwich Sandwich, a takeaway establishment that precisely fulfills its name by offering substantial sandwiches filled with a variety of ingredients.
Since then, it has evolved into one of Bristol's renowned culinary destinations, garnering several accolades, including the Restaurant of the Year UK award from Uber Eats. Currently, there are five outposts in Bristol: Baldwin Street (the flagship), Park Row, and Queens Road. This month, the founders have ventured into London with a new shop on Gresham Street. The launch was partially financed by the £100,000 grant awarded following its designation as Uber Eats Restaurant of the Year 2023.
In an Instagram post, co-owner Josh Kleiner stated: ‘When my father initially established his little sandwich store in Bristol 12 years ago, he could never have envisioned that we would expand to London. I am genuinely astonished that this is occurring, and I suppose this is what individuals typically refer to as a "pinch-me" moment.

In the summer of 2024, the inaugural branch was established on Gresham Street in London, with the subsequent branch opening in March of current year, similarly situated in the City. The new Tottenham Court Road location is set to open in October 2025. “We committed to delivering our sandwiches to as many Londoners as feasible – and Tottenham Court Road represents a significant advancement towards that goal,” stated creator Nick Kleiner. This location has significant foot traffic in London, and we eagerly anticipate introducing our sandwiches and additional breakfast offerings to an entirely new segment of the city.
“We aim to reach Tottenham Court Road in authentic Sandwich Sandwich fashion,” stated Josh, Nick’s son and head of marketing for Sandwich Sandwich. If that entails distributing 1,000 complimentary sandwiches to generate enthusiasm among Londoners, then that is precisely what we shall undertake. Provided the city of London permits us to inflict that degree of devastation.
