The announcement follows Musk's statement on X two years ago regarding the imminent arrival of a new Supercharger station in Santa Monica. Desiring the presence of a 1950s diner and the exhibition of the 100 best movie clips as well. Thank you, City of Santa Monica! Documents reviewed by Teslarati reveal that the business has received authorisation from the Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety to construct a "Diner and Drive-In Movie Supercharger in West Hollywood," after a post from 2021. The site is designated at 7001 W. Santa Monica Boulevard and the facility is anticipated to include 32 Supercharger slots, several dining options, rooftop seating, and two cinema screens.
Tesla car owners utilising Superchargers will be unable to view the entire film, as charging can yield up to 200 miles in under 15 minutes. The project applications were submitted in November 2022, and the proposal received approval on July 18 of this year. The preliminary grade inspection was finalised and sanctioned on August 9. An illustration of a potential Tesla Diner was presented during the company's Investor Day event in March, as illustrated above. The completion date of this project is yet to be determined.
